题目:Proton transport through two-dimensional crystals

主要内容:

The demand for sustainable development urges efficient energy conversion and storage. Nanostructured materials can contribute significantly to energy research, owing to novel properties stemming from their short diffusion path, large surface to volume ratio, and strong quantum effect. Specifically, nanocomposite materials are of great interest due to interfacial phenomena. In this talk, I will present our efforts on half-Heusler and Zintl phase thermoelectric nanocomposite materials for waste heat recovery. I will also introduce our recent work on Sb2Te3/C and Bi2Se3/C composite as high capacity and stable anode materials for sodium ion batteries. Our understandings on the materials behavior from in situ transmission electron microscopy will be discussed.
